We NEED a robust two-party system that understands that cooperation and compromise are not dirty words. We NEED this because the spirit of "my way or the highway" that has taken over this country since 2010 is hurting all of us. The ACA was passed and signed into law. It was ruled Constitutional by the Supreme Court. It's time for the lunatics to stop running the asylum and for the business of our country to continue. The ACA is pretty much identical to the ideas of the Heritage Foundation and other Republican ideas from the 1990's and early 2000's so to say that Republicans had no input is disingenuous. The idea of a single-pay system was dropped from the ACA at the Republican insistence. It's time for the Toilet Paper people to be smacked over the nose with a rolled up newspaper and told to "leave it". It's the law and it's not going anywhere soon. We need to get our country working again the way it's supposed to. |
