After his son (played by Christian Slater) shoots a pimp and makes off with a bag of cocaine, Clifford Worley realises he must get in the way of the mob to save his offspring's life. The only option is self-sacrifice. Worley refuses to reveal his son's location to mob bosses. Instead, accepting that his own murder is inevitable, he repeatedly insults Christopher Walken’s gangster. In doing so, he secures on of film's most macabre last laughs.
